School Days Coming to an End

Ameya is almost done with her first year of school. She has loved going to pre-school and learning as well as getting to socialize with the other children. We're excited for Kindergarten in the fall, as she'll get to attend with her best friend Lexi, who lives right next door. My neighbor and I went together so we could be sure the girls would be in the same class.

Ava - Playing with her Pink Ball

Ava is so active and finds joy in almost any new item that is given to her. She loves to investigate the new item and can spend a lot of time just listening to what sounds the toy makes or how it feels.

Every day brings new sounds out of her as she learns to use her voice. Laughing is still her favorite sounds but she also says 'Da' a lot.

My favorite occupier was to surround her with a lot of toys and let her play but that usually doesn't work now a days. Ava is into "Army Crawling" and is not too content to stay in one place for very long. She gets a great workout as she does laps around the rooms.

8 Months and Growing

Time is flying so fast. Ava is now 8 months old and changing so fast. She is moving across the floor but has yet to do the official crawl. She gets up on her knees but hasn't moved forward that way yet. She does lots of laughing and loves peek-a-boo. She plays it with her blanket with us and then starts laughing. Her favorite sound besides her own laughter is the word 'Da'.

Ameya is doing great too and has had 2 games of soccer with 4 more to go. She loves to run and soccer is a great outlet for that. The games are really funny as the kids spend most the time running from one side to the other, usually with the teams kicking the ball the wrong way.

As for us - Scott and I are just trying to keep us with the girls and all their wonderful energy. Our camera broke so that is why the lack of posting...besides a bit of the flu bug in our house. I'm hoping for a new camera soon, so we'll be back to posting.

Soccer Girl

Ameya just started soccer this week. She has practices once a week and then has games on Saturday.

She is so excited and is playing with her BFF, Lexi, who lives next door. The girls spend a lot of time together and I can only imagine what the years will bring for them.

Lexi was in dance class and I couldn't wait to enroll Ameya but Lexi is bored with dance, so the girls are playing soccer. But I did see dance classes that are starting this summer, so hopefully Ameya will want to attend. In fact, I saw not only dance classes but a Princess Dance Camp, a Mini Musical Theater Camp and a Parent Child Music Camp....and we can't forget swimming lessons. So summer should be full of fun activities and we'll have lots of pictures to post of her adventures.

Happy Birthday Dad

Yesterday would have been my Dad's 80th Birthday. Isn't the first year so hard after loosing a loved one. You have to go through all the 'firsts' of them not being there.

I really miss him, especially on Sunday's. That was the day we would have our weekly call and catch-up on all the happenings. I hope he knows how much his girls love and miss him and are thinking of him. Happy Birthday Dad!

Easter Energy

As soon as Church was over, we raced home and did our usual quick change into our next Sunday best. We had our Sunday dinner and then played around the table with Easter basket toys.

We had Easter surprises arrive from Grandma Ede and Papa and...We weren't good like Jen was about waiting for Easter to peak inside. We loved all the fun treats and toys! Thank you, Thank you!

Boris got into the act as well by grabbing the Easter Bunnies and carrying them around in his mouth. I'm sure he was hoping for them to be chocolate but no luck. He did get the ham bone as his treat, which was no where to be found on Monday morning.

Easter Sunday

Here we are on our way to Church. The girls are wearing their cute new Easter dresses that Scott's mom, Grandma Linda, sent.

Ameya took this picture of Scott with Ava.

Me and my girls. I am a very lucky Mom!
