Ameya is such a great big sister to Ava. I was packing for our California trip and Ameya was keeping Ava entertained for me. When I wasn't looking, she climbed into the bassinet with Ava as everyone knows it's much easier to entertain a baby when you're in their bed.

Packing for California
Ameya is such a great big sister to Ava. I was packing for our California trip and Ameya was keeping Ava entertained for me. When I wasn't looking, she climbed into the bassinet with Ava as everyone knows it's much easier to entertain a baby when you're in their bed.
Fish Heads
Before we left for California, a big package arrived from Shelly. She was making room for Trevor's upcoming Santa arrivals so we received a box full of toys. One of my favorites was this huge colorful fish that had two smaller fish in it's mouth. Of course, we had to see if we could make fish hats out of them.
Fun, Fun - Thank you Shelly!
Dogs gone wild - Christmas Morning
Boris is so funny when we open presents. He loves to help and this year was taking presents out of Ameya's hand and ripping them open as well as going into the trash bag.
Of course the dogs had their own gifts to open but that wasn't enough for Boris this year. He was so excited and was racing around the whole time looking for something to rip open.
Our fun Boris - he is a great dog! Dakota was helping but he was more into the actual doggies gifts then ripping more presents open.
A Christmas Cutie
Christmas Eve at The Broadmoor

Last year Scott and I took Ameya to The Broadmoor Hotel to see all the wonderful Christmas lights and take some family holiday pictures. It was such a fun activity that we did it again this year and were not disappointed.
We tried to take pictures in the same locations as last year so we'd have some fun comparisons. I hope this will become a tradition that we'll continue over the years. I love The Broadmoor Hotel and am always in awe at the beauty and grandeur of this ever changing hotel.

Birthday Sledding
For Scott's birthday, we went up to the mountains for some sledding. It was a beautiful day but very cold in the shade.
The snow was awesome. There was lots of powder but it was very deep and quite the workout just to get up the hill. Ameya had to be carried most the time because she would slide down faster than she could take a step
Ameya had her own sled but she would go down with Scott from time to time.
This picture shows them wiping out at the bottom. You can't really see to well on this one but Ameya is on the ground under all the powder. Look for the little puff of pink to the right of Scott.
I love sledding and am looking forward to the next time but I hope it is much warmer!

The Real Santa
The real Santa you ask?
Well let me tell you how I know -
1. The real Santa doesn't have to adjust his beard
2. The real Santa always wears black boots
3. The real Santa will take his coat off when he's indoors
4. And when the real Santa takes his coat off his shirt always has something like candy canes, reindeer or other Christmas items
So if you're ever wondering about the Santa, who's lap you're sitting on and if it's the real Santa or just a "helper", you now have the official guidelines.
This was supplied to be by my friends 9 year old daughter -a very reliable source.
