A Forever Family - Newport Beach Temple

May 20, 2009 we were able to attend the Newport Beach Temple and seal the girls to us. For those of you that are not members of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that means that we are now a 'Forever Family. Our family bond is now not only created here on earth but in the eternities. We believe we will live on after this life is done and the joy to us in this very special event, is that we as a family will not be separated.

We waited a long time for our wonderful and sweet little ones. Thank you so much for all our family and friends that were able to attend!

A Day On Balboa

I love Balboa Island and every time I come to the area for work or play, I try to make a visit.

We were lucky that the day's weather was awesome. We played a bit on the sand as well as enjoyed viewing all the great spring gardens.

Of course a Balboa Bar was in order as well as frozen yogurt. I sure wish we had a frozen yogurt by our house. Maybe one day but for now another reason to love Balboa Island.

The Big Drive

I know I'm very behind on doing updates so here is the start of pictures from our California and Utah trip.

We got the girls out of bed and into the car and off we went. I started by taking pictures of us and yelling - We're going to California, We're going to California.

The girls were great in the car. We drove out in Scott's new truck, which made for a fun drive.

Ava and Ameya were patient with me with all the pictures I wanted to take of them. I loved it when they fell asleep - so cute. In these pictures, Ava first stuck her tongue out at me and then the second one started laughing at me.
It was so fun.

Ameya's Haircut

Ameya and I are moving towards our 'summer' haircuts. We both got about 3 inches cut off though Ameya's hair is much longer than mine. We've been talking about cutting her hair shorter for summer but just have not done it. So this last week I got a haircut and Ameya and I decided it was a good time for her as well. So after a bath the other night, I did a quick cut and here is the result.
My Father-in-law, Phil took this great picture of our beautiful Ameya.

A Girl and Her Phone

Ava is fascinated by our cell phones and house phone. Any chance she gets, she grabs one and while running, starts pushing buttons, then puts it up to her ear and starts talking. She now starts most of her calls with Hello and ends them with Good-bye.

It is really scary how young they start watching everything you do and try to mimic it.

These pictures we're taking during our Utah trip while we were at the hotel's pool

Utah Adventures - Scott, Ameya and Ava

While I was attending Women's Conference, Scott and the girls did some fun activities in Salt Lake City. On Saturday I joined the gang and we went to a history museum where there are were of hands-on exhibits for the girls.

Women's Conference

I had a chance to go to Women's Conference again this year. The theme was Strength in the Lord. For two days, I got to hear wonderful speakers and be surrounded by a lot of women. There is definitely strength in numbers. I had a great time and am so grateful that I could attend.
